SMAPP LAB traps are based around traditional pheromone based traps but smarter. Thanks to automation, farmers are freed from the daily tasks of checking on the traps physically and manually identifying and counting catches. Our traps collect additional local temperature and humidity data further improving forecast accuracy.
Each subscription package comes with a personal online dashboard accessible through our site. Collected data can be filtered and inspected in graphical form.
Currently only our Helicoverpa armigera monitoring network is operational, but we do offer traps for monitoring Ostrinia nubilalis and Cydia pomonella. We are working on building country-wide networks for other species: suggest what we should build next using the form on the main page.
Trap installation and maintenance is always done by the SMAPP LAB team. Exact trap location is agreed upon after personal consultation with the farmer.
